Eccles Students Breathe Sigh Of Relief!

July 1st 2015
Several players of Eccles Borough Band can breathe a little easier following their successful completion of this year’s academic and performance exams.

Melvin Tay; the band’s Principal Euphonium player, Bradley Jones; Solo Cornet, and David Hamilton; Principal Tuba, are all currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music for a BMus in performance. This month has seen a busy schedule of performance exams in college, on top of various ensemble recitals and class commitments for the trio, and all three are pleased to have survived mostly unscathed.

Also, Liv Appleton; the band’s Repiano Cornet player, has just sat her A Level exams in History, Psychology, and English Literature at Carmel College. Liv intends to take a productive gap year next year before applying to University for the following September.

Proving that education never stops was Ruth Mulholland, Flugel player with Eccles Borough Band. A highly qualified and hard working Nurse, Ruth recently completed her PostEd Certificate in Management.

Junior Band members; Olivia MacDonald, Sophie MacDonald, Sam Davies, and James Morris have also been in the exam hall recently sitting various High School and Junior School exams.

Everyone at Eccles Borough Band would like to congratulate our students on all their hard work over the last year. We wish them a relaxing summer and a successful start to next term.
