New Principal Position For Peter

Eccles Borough Band are pleased to announce Peter McDonough as their new principal euphonium player.

Having started out in the Cardiff County youth bands, Peter began senior banding at the age of 14, joining the Tongwynlais Band in 2012.

Peter is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music and has had stints with Markham & District Band and Wingates Band. He is the principal euphonium player for the National Youth Band and Wind Orchestra of Wales and was also the principal euphonium at the recent European Youth Brass Band in Ostend.

Peter replaces our outgoing principal euphonium player, Melvin Tay, who has spent 3 and a half years with us whilst studying in Manchester. Melvin moves on to further his studies and with massive thanks we wish him every success in his future endeavours.
